The Oasthouse theatre x Ra.T.S
The Oasthouse theatre is a charming 72-seat voluntarily run establishment in Kent. Converted from an old Oasthouse in 1963 by a local amateur dramatics group called The Rainham Theatrical Society, it has ever since been a pillar of the community playing host to celebratory concerts, musicals and award winning plays directed and performed by voluntary members and their love for the arts.
The Oasthouse theatre was way ahead of it’s time. For such a small theatre to have a website since 2001 was a big thing! In 2024 we were approached by their committee to give their current site a bit of a face lift. They also wanted a site they could learn to and teach other members how to make alterations as and when they were required.
The site needed to be something modern to show off their beautiful and unique space, which would entice new clients and budding thespians who wanted to find somewhere to explore their talent.
We took creative control of the project, hiring videographers to shoot a selection of their best productions, a brand story of how the theatre was renovated and a “single-shot” walkthrough of the theatre itself.
We implemented custom code for their production posters and made sure it was SEO competent to help with their google rankings and search results. This site was such fun to do and I think you’ll agree, it turned out great!
